On the occasion of Amar Ekushey February International Mother Language Day, Chairman (Panel-1) Shamsur Rahman, on behalf of Thalta Majhagram Union No. 4 of Nandigram Upazila, paid humble tribute and respect to all the language martyrs by placing flowers at the Central Shaheed Minar of Bansho Government Primary School. In 1952, they staged a movement for language, and the Pakistani occupying forces opened fire on the said procession. Rafiq, Barkat, Salam, Jabbar Shafiq, etc. were martyred there. Therefore, to maintain the spirit of Amar Ekushey February on this day, we pay tribute and respect to them by placing flowers.
Present at that time were: Shamsur Rahman, Chairman of Thalta Majhagram Union No. 4 (Panel-1) and former President of Thalta Majhagram Union of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP, Anwar Hossain, Panel Chairman-2 of Thalta Majhagram Union No. 4, Kausar, Headmaster of Bansho Government Primary School Abdus Samad, Assistant Teacher Yunus, Helina, Entrepreneur of Thalta Majhagram Union No. 4 Obaidur Rahman Rubel, Alamgir with Computer and various dignitaries of the area were present.
